Cause and Awareness Bracelets These bracelets tell the stories of individuals whose life experiences represent the cause or awareness campaign they wish to support. For example, Causes and Awareness stories could represent life experiences of those who have lived and survived genocide, war, chemical war; they may have survived human rights abuses like slavery, sexual exploitation, sexual violence, female genital mutilation, school bullying, race or gender discrimination, or perhaps they live with or have overcome illness or disease such as HIV and AIDS, cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, autism. Stories can also represent hunger or water crisis, famine, poverty, disabilities, loss or tragedy, natural disaster, women’s rights, birthing rights or any other Cause or Awareness story that the Meah Foundation believes is important or necessary for the world to know.
A percentage of the bracelet proceeds will go towards the Meah Foundation which will then support the various cause or awareness foundations or charities associated with the person who has shared the story. They will either be a part of the work of a foundation or charity or they will choose one that they wish to support that represents their story.
